Physiotherapy is covered by most health funds under "Extras" cover. If you do have "Extras" make sure you bring along your card and you will be able to claim on the spot. Then you only end up paying the gap between what your health fund covers and what is charged. If you are unsure if you have "Extras" please check with your insurer to see if you are covered for physiotherapy.

Dry Needling
Report
At Body Active Physiotherapy, our therapists are trained in dry needling technique. Dry needling is similar to acupuncture in that they use the same type of needle and follow many of the similar points, but the theory and clinical reasoning behind the needle placement is different.
Acupuncture is a complementary medical practice rooted in traditional Chinese medicine that entails stimulating certain points on the body with a needle for the purpose of altering the flow of Qi (or energy) along traditional Chinese meridians to alleviate pain or to help treat various health conditions. Our physios use dry needling to treat muscle tissue with the goals of improving your pain, reducing trigger points, and restoring function.
