At The Fix Program(R) we offer a range of physiotherapy services, all under the skillful eyes, hands and minds of our team of physiotherapists. And all of this to better the outcome for YOU. Whether that be completing that next race, winning the grand final, enjoying your favourite past times, sitting pain free at your desk at work, or wrestling with the kids at home in the backyard.
Sports Physio
Report
At The Fix Program, our physiotherapists love treating the range of sports injuries, from niggly swimmer's shoulders to tennis elbows, runner's knees to sprained ankles. Whether a new injury from the weekend, or an ongoing chronic niggle, sports physiotherapy is all about rehabilitation and getting you back in the pool, on the road or on the field.
Back Pain
Report
Back pain is such a powerful thing it can actually "switch off" some of the deep muscles close to the back and neck. This can happen very soon after you first get a back pain (possibly within the first 48 hours). The deep muscles in the lower back and abdomen normally provide support to the bones (and discs) of the lower back area when you move around.
Lower Back Pain
Report
The lower back or lumbar spine supports the upper body and transmits the weight and movement of our bodies to the pelvis and the lower legs. It is involved in all we do, from our movements, to the support of our posture, even when sitting or sedentary. The lower back is made up of five vertebrae, each with two joints and a disc.
Knee Injuries & Pain
Report
The knee suffers many injuries and is often second only to back pain as the most injured joints of the human body. Good knee alignment and stability comes from excellent control of the hip and pelvis above and proper biomechanics of the foot below. Knee injuries can be 'niggly' (or chronic) or 'sudden' (acute).
