My name is Julia and I am the founder of the school. What I love about our swimming community is how, after more than 20 years, Hampton Swim School is still all about our families. We pride ourselves on a gentle, nurturing approach to learning where achievements, no matter how small, can be celebrated.
When I started our swim school, I was an international competitive swimmer with a passion for aquatic education. These days I am a local mum of three and more motivated than ever to give children in our community a lifelong love of water in the safest of hands. Every child is unique, and our programs will help your child develop the confidence and skills needed to be safe and happy in the water.

We have a program for every child in our community. We are unique in offering free swimming lessons from BIRTH to 6 months. If you have an older child who is afraid of water, let us help you make him or her a Happy Swimmer. If your child has special needs, join our Treasures program. If you have a competitive swimmer, let us nurture that talent.
Baby Begins

We would love to welcome you and your newborn to our BabyBegins program. BabyBegins are Australia's first swimming lessons for babies from birth up to 6 months. We offer these lessons for FREE to all families in our local community (postal codes 4170, 4171, 4172 and 4173). Our BabyBegins classes are the first step to a lifetime of enjoying the wonderful world of water.
Baby Steps

Parents love the structure and progression of our BabySteps Program. Every activity in our BabySteps Swim Program has a purpose and a progression, delivering quality results and super happy swimmers! During this 24-week program, parents will gradually see their child progress and improve.
Babies will acquire the skills needed to start their learn to swim adventure, as they gain confidence to manoeuvre through water independently for several metres in the correct body position.By the end of our 4th BabySteps swim program level, your child will have completed a gentle and happy transition to participating in a lesson without their parent or carer in the water, ready to learn directly with our teaching team members.

At Hampton Swim School, we pride ourselves on being not just another swimming school, but also a key component of your child's early education. From nervous beginners to our mini squad, our SwimSteps Learn to Swim Program has been developed to incorporate a series of graded class levels that enable children to build and practice key skills and techniques.
Swim Squads
Report
Swimmers who have achieved a level of swimming where they no longer require the intensive instruction provided in our SwimSteps Learn to Swim Program, will progress to Hampton's Swim Squads Program, TEAM ACCELERATE. Swimmers graduating from our SwimSteps program will now continue their progression in the water in our Red Team.
