Meatsmith is a Melbourne based butcher, providore & wine merchant with locations in Fitzroy, St. Kilda, Balwyn & Brighton. Our distinct vision is to provide exceptional quality & service for our customers. Our selection is fastidious so that you can shop easily, conveniently and consciously. We are not just purveyors, but butchers and chefs, with expert knowledge and skill when it comes to provenance and preparation.

We take care of every step of the process - from relationships with farmers, to breaking down whole animals, to marinating, boning, rolling, dry ageing, seasoning and cooking tonight's dinner ready for you to heat at home. Our selection of restaurant quality meals are prepared by our chefs, with our core range complemented by seasonal highlights all throughout the year.

Gift vouchers are the perfect gift for food-loving family and friends on a special occasion. Meatsmith offers two gift voucher options - a gift voucher that can be redeemed online (for Click & Collect or Delivery) and a gift vouchers that can be redeemed in person in store. Your loved ones can visit our online store and place an order for home delivery, or click & collect from our Fitzroy, St. Kilda, Balwyn or Brighton stores.

We strive to create relationships with the best farmers, producers and growers to ensure consistent and delicious products that respect the animals, the seasonality and breed conservation.
Beef
Report
Our primary beef supplier is O'Connor in Gippsland. O'Connor supply us with grass fed and grain fed beef of spectacular quality. We believe that O'Connor supplies some of the finest, most consistent and flavoursome pasture raised beef in Australia. O'Connor are a family owned business and source all their beef from the surrounding Gippsland farms.
Lamb
Report
Our primary supply follows the lambing seasons down the east coast of Australia during the year. We buy from a number of suppliers growing old English breeds such as Cheviot, Lincoln, Shropshire, Leicester and Wiltipoll, all bred for maximum flavour. We work alongside the Heritage Sheep Association and they help us get in contact with their members in order to gain this supply.
Pork

We procure our pork from Glen Eyrie Rare Breeds Farm in Northern Victoria and Beachport Berkshires on South Australia's Limestone Coast. Katy Brown at Glen Eyrie Farm supplies us with many breeds of pork - we currently use the Hampshire and Tamworth breeds. Katy's aim is to continue the tradition of these rare breeds and to preserve the genetics of these traditional pig breeds.
