From the personalised service and cosmetic dentistry we perform, to the rich history of our Claremont home and our team's overseas charity missions, Dental Quarters is as unique as every smile we care for. With our precision-engineered and hand-crafted crowns, made by our team here in Australia, we'd say it's a bit of both.

From carving tooth forms out of wax as a boy with his father, an accomplished dental ceramist, to working with his late grandfather Dr Beng-Keat Chan, an orthodontist and oral surgeon, you could say Perth-born Steve was destined to become a dentist. Even his wife, Lydia, is a dentist.

A member of the International Team of Implantology (ITI) and the Australian Dental Association (ADA), Steve's focus is high quality, personalised dental care and the natural 'art form' of dentistry; specifically, tooth-coloured ceramics, implants and orthodontics.Lydia loves details, and creating beautiful things with her hands, just like some of the delicate sugar art and cakes she makes in her spare time.

Instead, we embrace the craft of cosmetic dentistry and the latest technologies at every stage - from creating the gold alloy superstructure for your crown (seen above), to the final furnace glaze - to make the highest quality results affordable.

Our practice in historic Old Theatre Lane doesn't have the clinical look or feel of a traditional dental surgery. That's partly because the building, built in 1914, was originally the Princess Theatre. But it's also because we have restored and refurbished our suite to feel warm, inviting and welcoming, reflecting just how different our service is to traditional dental surgeries.

Our Dental Quarters team takes off on a charity mission to help people who, otherwise, wouldn't have access to dental services. We did our first trip in 2013, and then again in 2018. Both times we flew to Vietnam with CHAT (Christian Health Aid Team), where we spent five days providing dental care for over 550 children at orphanages on the Vietnam/Cambodia border.
