It's important we monitor your childs jaw growth and tooth crowding in their mixed dentition, and we will refer them to an orthodontist for early treatment if required to create room for the larger adult teeth.Fissure sealants are an important preventative treatment we perform, protecting vulnerable areas of the back teeth.

1. Starting with the basics, we ask you to bring in your toothbrush and show us how you brush your teeth. We use a special red dye on the teeth so parent and child can see areas where a improvements are needed to ensure all areas are brushed adequately. 3. We show you how to and when to use mouthwash, the different types of mouthwash, and help you decide on a suitable one for your child.

At Cherrygum dental, we perform a wide range of treatments including simple fillings, crown and bridge treatments, root canal treatments, extractions, partial dentures, mouthguards and tooth whitenings. For our smaller fillings we use Composite resin (white fillings), medium fillings in back teeth we use porcelain or gold inlays, larger fillings (more than half the tooth)are likely to be full coverage with a crown.

Our Preventative Program is based on these two sayings. We do everything we can to assist our patients in preventing tooth decay and gum disease. Its important our patients know the best way to keep their teeth clean, restrict harmful foods and drinks in their diet, regularly visit (6 monthly for most patients) for an examination and clean, and protect their teeth with a mouthguard during contact sports.
