Audiology Trio's owners, Sharyn Lim and Greg Angus, are both University Qualified Audiologists, studying for a minimum of 5 years to become qualified to provide holistic hearing health care. Sharyn and Greg established their Independent Hearing Health Care Practice in Kipp-Ring, on the Redcliffe Peninsula, in 2010.
With over 40 years combined experience the two decided to go out on their own to offer modern Audiological devices with traditional care, servicing Brisbane and the surrounding suburbs. Greg Angus's early recognition of the importance of hearing in communication prompted him to enrol in Audiology after completing his undergraduate university degree of Human Movement Studies.

Custom Earplugs

There are musician and noise plugs to protect your hearing and swim plugs to keep water out. Musician earplugs are custom made for comfort and have flat-response attenuators designed to reduce the loudness of sound without unduly distorting the sound. Musicians perform in a variety of settings and can be exposed to quite high sound levels for extended periods.

It is generally the level of technology and NOT the size that dictates the cost of hearing aids. The high number of hearing aid options available today makes it confusing for a hearing impaired person when researching hearing aids. We do not recommend you buy hearing aids online as your individual hearing loss and many medical factors need to be evaluated in choosing the correct hearing aid.
Hearing Test

The hearing test involves obtaining air conduction hearing thresholds under headphones or ear inserts if indicated, plus bone conduction hearing thresholds using a bone conductor. This information is vital for prescribing the most appropriate hearing aids if they are required. This test assesses the client's ability to discriminate speech by assessing just how clearly the client is able to hear speech at different levels.
Tinnitus Treatment

Tinnitus is the name given to the condition of noises in the ear(s) and/or in the head with no external source. Tinnitus noises are described variously as ringing, whistling, buzzing and humming. These factors resulting from tinnitus can aggravate tinnitus, so a "tinnitus cycle" is created. Tinnitus is not a disease or an illness.
