Decks

We design and construct custom decks for outdoor entertaining, from compact spaces to expansive layouts. Using durable materials like treated pine and hardwoods (tallowwood, merbau), we ensure longevity and aesthetic appeal. Our decks are tailored to suit fire-prone areas with steel framing options, combining safety and style.

Pergolas

Our pergolas provide shade and elegance to outdoor spaces, crafted from treated pine, hardwood, or modern insulated 'Stratco Cooldek' roofing. We focus on seamless integration with existing structures, offering both traditional and contemporary designs to enhance functionality and visual appeal for patios or garden areas.

Privacy Screens

We build custom privacy screens using timber or aluminium to conceal bins, enhance fence privacy, or create secluded outdoor zones. Our designs balance practicality with aesthetics, ensuring materials and dimensions align with client preferences and environmental needs.

I can't fault Dave and his team. Punctual, consultative, friendly and tidy. We now have a most beautiful, carefully-built deck at a fair price and we know we will enjoy it for many years to come. Thoroughly recommended.

Dave is a highly talented carpenter who comes up with beautiful and intelligent solutions. No matter how awkward your project, Dave takes it all in his stride and the results are quite spectacular. He is friendly, communicative and nothing is too much trouble. I have no hesitation in recommending Dave.

I had about 20 quotes on a new deck ! They all wanted to demolish and rebuild ! Dave was thinking outside the box and suggested we fix it ! Wow ! Game changer ! We could not afforded a whole new deck but he fixed our deck and then our savings meant we could add a roof , then we loved our space so much ! We decided to add a second deck , garage and privacy screening ! Best investment we have ever made ! You know when you find that perfect builder you stick with you them ! We saved for 3 years and our dreams have become a reality! Also I think we gained a friendship !

Recently I decided to replace my old pergola as it was in disrepair. A neighbour of mine, David Joiner is a builder & specialises in pergolas, decks, screens etc, and came highly recommended. Dave has done a wonderful job of my new pergola, he is a professional tradesman, materials are top quality and he is very punctual. I have already had 3 compliments on my new pergola. I would highly recommend Dave Joiner Carpentry. Thanks Dave

We were very impressed with David's work and have received numerous compliments on how good our deck looks! We had a bit of trouble with our original builder before we contacted David and asked him to quote the completion of our deck. David was very helpful in pointing out what needed to be done to make the deck safe and look good, as well as conservative about changing things that would cost too much for not much gain. The work David delivered was exactly as he described it would be, top quality craftsmanship, and on time.
