Ben Lomond Ski Lodge Accommodation
Established in 1963, the Ben Lomond Rover Ski Club operates Rovers Retreat, a family-friendly ski lodge within Ben Lomond National Park. Our lodge offers self-catering accommodation with modern amenities, including heated ensuite rooms, fully equipped kitchens, and communal dining and lounge areas. Located just 160 metres from the Summit T-bar ski lift, we provide direct access to Tasmania's premier ski village. Our volunteer-run operation prioritises comfort and convenience, with power supplied via a reliable battery inverter system and hydronic heating throughout.We accommodate groups of up to 66 guests, offering flexible room configurations and linen hire options. As a non-commercial club, we focus on creating a welcoming environment for members and guests, with policies designed to ensure cleanliness and respect for shared spaces. Our Ben Lomond lodge offers 66-bed capacity with ensuite rooms ranging from standard to 8-person configurations. All rooms feature hydronic heating and bedding essentials, with linen hire available. Located 160m from the Summit T-bar lift, we cater to families and groups seeking alpine comfort.
Self-Catering Facilities
Fully equipped communal kitchens include gas stoves, refrigeration, and dining areas. Guests receive cooking utensils and crockery, with storage facilities for perishables. Our self-catering model allows flexible meal preparation while maintaining shared space cleanliness standards.
Group Bookings
We accommodate large groups with dedicated room blocks and custom pricing. Minimum nightly fees apply for off-season bookings. Our booking system shows real-time availability, with special arrangements possible for organisations requiring extended stays or exclusive lodge hire.
Linen Hire
Linen packages include quilt, towels, and bath mats for $50 per adult or $25 per child. This optional service provides fresh bedding for guests who prefer not to bring their own sleeping essentials, ensuring comfort without additional baggage requirements.
Winter Stay Packages
Our winter season runs July-September with tiered pricing based on demand periods. Packages include mandatory $1 affiliate membership per guest, with cancellation policies allowing 50% refunds for bookings cancelled over 30 days prior to arrival.

Is the lodge accessible without a car?
No public transport reaches Ben Lomond summit. Guests must drive or arrange private transport. Shuttle buses operate from lower car park during snow season with 48-hour notice.
What power facilities are available?
We use a battery inverter system providing 24/7 power. Hair dryers and high-draw appliances are prohibited to maintain system stability for essential operations.
Are meals provided?
Self-catering only. Guests must bring all food supplies. Shared fridges available but no freezers. Limited mountain shopping options require pre-trip provisioning.
How do I book accommodation?

There wasnt much snow when we came. But the resort managed to gather enough snow for 2 play grounds. Staff were very nice and helpful.
