Eltham Bowls Club

Established in 1981, Eltham Bowls Club has been a cornerstone of community engagement and sporting excellence for over four decades. Our club boasts two synthetic greens, enabling year-round participation in lawn bowls for competitive and social players alike. With a membership of approximately 140 individuals, we prioritise accessibility through free introductory coaching sessions led by accredited professionals, ensuring newcomers develop foundational skills before committing to membership. Our facility extends beyond sporting activities, offering versatile hall hire options for weddings, community events, and corporate functions, supported by modern amenities and a well-stocked bar. The club's governance reflects decades of dedicated volunteerism, with a constitution and operational framework refined through continuous community input.

Our strategic relocation to purpose-built clubrooms in 2004 addressed accessibility challenges inherent in our original farmhouse premises, enhancing member experience while maintaining proximity to greens. Through structured programs including junior development initiatives and diverse social events like Jazz by the Green, we foster intergenerational connections and community cohesion. Financial transparency and member-centric policies underpin our operations, evidenced by tiered membership pricing and discounted hall hire rates for community groups. This commitment to inclusivity and adaptability ensures our position as a vital local institution supporting both recreational pursuits and social infrastructure.
