The word "Galette" is used in the French culinary vocabulary as a broad term that describes a variety of foods made in the shape of a flat thin disk. It usually refers to foods that contain flour, like bread, biscuits or even savoury crpes. In the french region of Bretagne (Brittany), well renowned for being the birthplace of Crpes, "Galettes" are indeed known to being made out of buckwheat flour and to only containing savoury fillings.
La Galette de France was originally established in 2005 by French duo Eric and Nadia Masure at the Subiaco Station Street Markets. Their idea was to offer a tasty range of cooked-while-you-wait crpes as well as classic baked goods made from scratch in front of the passing-by crowd. It didn't take long for the pair to become well known for the high quality of their products and the friendliness of their service.
