Becoming a naturopath was a career change taking me back to follow my passion for food, health and healing practices which work in harmony with the mind and body. My enthusiasm for food and health started in my teenage years with an interest in cooking, and led to the completion of a BSc (Hon) degree in Food and Human Nutrition in the UK.
After graduation, a position in food product development progressed to a successful career within the corporate environment, working predominantly as a buyer and category manager for several global retail organisations.

Report
The first documented use of herbal remedies dates back thousands of years and was one of the first forms of medicines used by men and women. Naturopaths are trained in western herbal medicine using herbal tablets, liquid extracts and teas. The herbal extracts can be blended together to suit individual needs, and are useful in the treatment of many common conditions or for the maintenance of good health.
What to expect
Report
As naturopaths we use herbal and nutritional medicine to promote the healing of acute or chronic conditions. These address any imbalance in the body and support self healing and the return to good health. The length of your treatment plan can depend on various factors including how long an illness or symptoms have been active, your age, current lifestyle choices and overall state of health.
Nutrigenomics
Report
The Fitgenes program is based on the science of Nutrigenomics, which simply means how our genes are influenced by our nutrition, exercise and lifestyle. Scientific evidence now tells us that our genes are not static i.e. we do not have to be destined to develop a disease just because our other family members did or we have an established weakness in that area.
Digestive testing
Report
The urinary indican test is used to screen for bacterial links to digestive issues. It is a quick urine test completed in the practice, results are available within 10 minutes. Following an initial consultation if the test is recommended you will be given a specimen jar enabling you to bring a urine sample to your next consult.
Cookery parties
Report
It was learning to cook in my teenage years that inspired me to get into food and nutrition. I've always been a creative cook but my style of cooking depth of knowledge has evolved over the last 20 years as my own health requirements have changed. I am most passionate about creating beautiful healthy meals that taste amazing.
