We offer comprehensive eye examinations for all ages, which includes detection of eye conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes and cataracts. Having a regular eye test can reveal the presence of vision defects and ocular health conditions. It is recommended to have an eye examination at least once every two years.

Eye tests are covered by Medicare and we offer bulk billing. Your eye exam will typically take 30 minutes. Besides checking your vision, the optometrist will also check the health of your eyes, to ensure that you do not have a sight threatening condition. Provided you have optical cover you will be able to claim a rebate from any Australian health fund.

You should have your eyes examined every one to two years if you are younger than sixty five, and every 12 months if you are sixty five or older. Your optometrist may recommend that you have your eyes examined more often depending on your eye condition or your general health.

If you have a painful eye or you have a sudden change in your vision, you should be seen as an emergency, and if the receptionist cannot fit you in you should present yourself at the practice for urgent attention.It's never too early to start caring for your eyes. Good vision is imperative to a child's intellectual and emotional development.
