Our team of eight pharmacists, six pharmacy technicians and five pharmacy assistants have a wide breadth of experience to offer.

Medadvisor

Medadvisor is a simple app that allows you to manage all your prescriptions from your mobile phone, tablet or PC. Medadvisor will tell you what repeats you have remaining, how many repeats you have remaining and will even remind you when you are running low on each prescription. Then all you have to do is send us a simple order, we dispense the script, message you and you then come in to collect the script at a time that is convenient to you.

Please briefly, but descriptively (including strength and quantity) list all required items. Unclear orders may be delayed. If you elect not to take generic brands and the original brand is unavailable, your order will be cancelled. Please note that we can only deliver to houses in the 4152 and 4151 postcodes and we cannot deliver to PO Boxes.
Vaccinations

Our pharmacy has four pharmacists trained in the administration of influenza and whooping cough vaccinations. Vaccinations are carried out on weekdays, generally between 9 am and 11.45 am and between 3 pm and 4.15 pm (excluding Thursdays). We can often vaccinate walk in patients, but appointments are preferred.

Under the NDSS, many blood testing strips, syringes and other diabetes aids are available at subsidised prices or free of charge. In addition, we have a visiting Diabetes nurse who can provide expert advice on diet, injection techniques and managing diabetes. Please ask our staff if you need more information on this service.

Good location and prompt service. There seems to be a problem with their approach to generic medicines though. I was asked by the lady at the counter if I wanted a generic version, which is nice. I said yes, she checked availability and I saw her marking generic on a piece of paper. But they packed a branded version and also did not tick "generic" on the repeat prescription sheet.

Having a vertigo attack mid lockdown I couldn’t see my GP however managed a tele appointment. She sent me an e-script to my phone. As I couldn’t walk straight nor drive, I called Carina Day & Night. The lovely and very efficient Tina set me up on their system, arranged my script and delivered to my door within two hours. Wow! What wonderful service. Cannot thank you enough.

Told they could get some important ivf drugs in time and spent a lot of money here. Was assured it would arrive in time after checking several times. Didnt hear from them at all so sourced elsewhere. Called to cancel and was first told they couldn't find any order, then asked, "weren't you told it was here?" Astonished i told them no i wasn't and they said well its here. Too late and no apologies or consideration for such an expensive time sensitive issue! Will not be using them EVER again.

Sensational service, they still offer personal service in the way all pharmacies used to before profit margins dictated volume over service. They will go to the extra effort of making a phone call to clarify with their suppliers, thay don't make you feel like helping you is a chore they make it feel like they care.

Very unhappy with service. Incorrect pricing on medicines. Just couldn't get it right. I am a concession holder they went to charge me full price. Have been there several times, then after telling them that I get charged $6.60 as I reach the safety net they charged me differently. They don't listen. Not going back.

Absolutely rude and unhelpful female pharmacist. Was rude, dismissive and refused to give adequate info on pharmacueticals. Started serving someone else while I was talking to her, slammed things round on the counter and gave me horrible glares. Humiliated me. Awful experience, resent spending money here.
Reading these reveiws it seems so many others have had the same experience and then coincidently good reviews appear contradicting the exact complaints mentioned.. suspicious.
Staff here are really unpleasant and the general attitude is arrogant, dismissive and hostile. Im boycotting this place

If you are able to go to another chemist then I suggest you do.
If you enjoy being spoken to rudely then by all means give them your hard earned money.
No matter how bad a day the staff are having they should treat all customers with respect.
Go elsewhere and be treated as you should.
Go there and understand that this is not always the case.

I have a teenage son with a serious chronic illness. We have had a lot of dealings with various pharmacies in various locations. I can say, without any hesitation, that the staff at Carina Pharmacy are the most professional and helpful that I have ever dealt with. They deserve congratulations of the outstanding job that they do.
