Waco International was founded in Johannesburg in 1952. Since then the company has developed into an international conglomerate, with operations on 3 continents, in 13 countries, at over 100 locations. Waco International has operated in Australia since 1984. In 1992, it acquired GKN Kwikform, the scaffolding assets of GKN Australia, creating the company that today operates as Waco Kwikform Limited.
In 2005, Waco Kwikform entered the New Zealand market, acquiring the scaffolding and shoring business of Australasian Pacific Ltd, based in Auckland. Further expansion occurred in 2012, with the acquisition of United Scaffolding on the South Island. Today, Waco Kwikform is recognised as a leading supplier of scaffolding in Australia and New Zealand.
