Why We’re Different
Report
From the moment you walk through the doors of a Peninsula Vet Care hospital, you'll know that we're committed to the health and happiness of your pet. We always take the time to get to know you and your pet to understand what the best approach, treatment and services are for your situation. We understand that every pet is different and pride ourselves in offering personalised care to every animal that we see.
Our History
Report
Peninsula Vet Care was started over 40 years ago when our very first hospitals opened in Mt Eliza and Dromana in the 1970s. Dr. Andrew Tresize was one of the original vets who started Peninsula Vet Care when he saw an opportunity to offer first class healthcare to animals on the Mornington Peninsula.

Report
Our puppy school program, offered at all of our Peninsula Vet Care locations, provides a safe and friendly learning environment for you. Unwanted behaviours, like barking, biting, spraying, and property destruction, are the leading cause of rehoming, abandonment and euthanasia of pets in Australia.
Puppy School
Report
Our puppy school program, offered at all of our Peninsula Vet Care locations, provides a safe and friendly learning environment for you and your puppy. You will be given the information you need to help your puppy grow into a healthy, well rounded, lifelong companion. Studies of canine behaviour have found that the most vital stage of a puppy's development occurs between 8 and 14 weeks of age.
Treating and Preventing Fleas
Report
The second most ideal environments for fleas, however, are your home and your pet! Fleas feed on your pet's blood, then lay eggs. These eggs hatch into larvae that crawl into dark areas of your home, under furniture, and into the carpet. Fleas then hide as pupae in cocoons, awaiting movement and heat to hatch, then jump on their prey, your pet!
