Your Trusted Taekwondo & Hapkido Centre in Coorparoo
Established in 1973 by Grand Master Michael Tan, our martial arts school has dedicated over five decades to empowering individuals through Taekwondo and Hapkido. We provide structured programs for all ages, from Tigers (4-6 years) to adults, focusing on discipline, self-defence, and physical fitness. Our inclusive environment welcomes students with diverse needs, exemplified by Chae Yon Seo's success at the Virtus Games. Recognised globally as a top 100 centre, we combine traditional teaching excellence with modern facilities. Our foundation's annual Pink Belt Week has raised over $15,000 for life-threatening illness awareness since 2013.

With programs accredited by Australian Taekwondo, World Taekwondo, and Kukkiwon, we tailor instruction to individual goals while fostering community engagement. Our instructors, including Mrs Claudia Tan (7th Dan) and Mr Michael Tan (9th Dan), ensure quality teaching that builds confidence and life skills. The Coorparoo centre operates six days weekly, offering a supportive family-oriented atmosphere. Testimonials highlight our ability to transform students' lives, as seen in Billie's school confidence and Greg Blain's endorsement of our teaching philosophy.

Taekwondo Classes
Traditional Taekwondo instruction for all ages develops discipline, physical fitness, and self-defence skills. Our structured curriculum follows international standards while adapting to individual learning paces. Students progress through belt rankings while mastering forms, sparring, and self-defence techniques.
Hapkido Training
Hapkido programs focus on joint locks, throws, and weapon defence techniques. This dynamic martial art teaches students to redirect opponents' energy while developing mental focus and physical coordination through practical self-defence scenarios.
Children's Programs
Age-specific programs for Tigers (4-6 years) and Juniors (7-11 years) build confidence, respect, and basic self-defence skills. Our instructors use engaging methods to develop social skills and physical coordination in a safe, supportive environment.
Black Belt Preparation
Specialised programs prepare students for black belt examinations through intensive pattern practice, sparring drills, and advanced technique refinement. Our instructors provide personalised guidance for achieving 1st Dan and higher ranks.

Katie is a dream. This was my first spray tan EVER and she made me feel so comfortable. Amazing communication. I never liked the idea of fake tans but I am so happy I trusted her. Amazing quality, long lasting - its been close to a week still going strong. Couldnt be happier with my first experience

The Celebrity Tans Malibu Ultra Dark is such a stunning product. I had my spray tan done and left the product on for 5 hours, the colour it ended up developing into was gorgeous. I got so many compliments on how natural it looked even though it is so much darker than my natural skin tone. It does not feel overly sticky like a tan usually does when you are marinating. It is extremely easy to maintain, I have had my tan on for 4 days now and it still looks fresh which is surprising because I sweat quite easily and have even exercised in it. Whether you are having a tan done on site where you
