Your Heritage Garden Experience in Clare Valley
Established as a living legacy of Walter Duncan's passion for roses, The Heritage Garden represents over six decades of dedicated horticultural expertise. Our two-acre paradise features approximately 2000 roses, including 500 heritage varieties, complemented by seasonal displays of delphiniums and foxgloves. The garden's historic significance is matched by its commitment to hospitality, offering award-winning accommodation in a lovingly restored 140-year-old stone cottage. Under Kay Duncan's stewardship, we maintain the highest standards of excellence while introducing artistic elements informed by her background in quilting and needlework.

Recognized with the Most Outstanding Garden in the Clare Valley award in 2004, we continue Walter's tradition of supporting the Royal Flying Doctor Service through garden openings. Our team combines professional expertise with personal dedication, ensuring every visitor experiences the tranquility and beauty that have made us a celebrated destination in South Australia's Clare Valley.

Such a beautiful place. You wouldn't know it exists. But I'm extremely glad I took my tour group there. No I can share my experience. We arrived for morning tea, toured the grounds after and then had lunch. There is a B&B also so you can relax in the tranquillity of the area.
It'd be great too for a wedding as the grounds are huge. I definitely recommend coming here.

We loved our stay here, frim the moment we arrived it felt so welcoming. There was a cheese platter generously including a bottle of wine and some delicious chocolates! Everything had been thought of. The gardens were magnificent to wonder through. We hope to be back! Thank you Kay and Walter.

Fantastic Open Garden today. This property is gorgeous, and the perfume of the 1000s of roses is divine. Other plants we didn't even know their names were delightful.

We've been to quite a few Open Gardens in Adelaide but this is the best we've ever seen. By a long way. When you walk through the many rose gardens the perfume is wonderful. We appreciate the opportunity to see this garden.

Thank you for a wonderful day out yesterday (3rd November). Your garden is spectacular, romantic and utterly beautiful. We came from Waikerie and it was so worth it! Thanks again
