Our primary focus is Family Law, and our Family lawyers, Julie Ferguson and Suzanne Creak (Sue Creak) are both Accredited Specialists in Family Law, a qualification awarded to them by the NSW Law Society after rigorous practical and written exams, and meeting practical experience requirements. They are required to meet ongoing practical and educational standards in Family Law each year to maintain their Specialist Accreditation.

Julie Ferguson

After graduating from Macquarie University in 1983, Julie commenced practice as a Solicitor in 1985. After a period of practicing in Sydney, Julie moved to Lennox Head in 1989 and worked in general practice in Lismore and Casino. Julie taught at Southern Cross University, Lismore and at the TAFE. In 2000 she returned to legal practice on a full time basis and in 2007 established her own practice (GJ Legal) now Ferguson Legal.
Lisa Lacy

Lisa Lacy joined the team at Ferguson Legal in 2015, after working in the areas of Family Law, Conveyancing, Litigation and Sports Law and has worked in both Sydney and Melbourne Law firms for 18 years. Lisa works closely with Julie Ferguson in the areas of Family Law, including: complex property and parenting issues, Divorce Applications and Children's Court matters.

Julie Ferguson, Principal Solicitor has been doing Family Law since 1987, and has appeared in Courts at all levels including the Full Court of the Family Court (on various appeals) and the High Court.
