Perisher has three types of accommodation: Lodge Style where breakfast and meal packages are available, Hotels with meals and plenty of additional services and then there are a limited amount of Self Contained Apartments with kitchen facilities. There is limited parking at Perisher Valley so where necessary over snow transport will take you and your luggage to your accommodation.

This means the resort will not be open in 2021 for the winter season. The new Selwyn Centre will house an expanded Ski & Snowboard Hire, enhanced food and drink offerings and improved toilet amenities. The 2022 snow season will also see the completed full upgrade of the New Chum Chairlift and the re-opening of 100% of the resort's skiable terrain.

Do I need lessons? What is my Skier/Boarder type? How long are my lessons? Where do my lessons take place? I have skied 20 years ago, if I take first timer lessons will I be stuck at the basic level the whole time? What are the group lesson sizes? Does my entry fee include parking? Do I need to carry chains to the resort?

Most of us like to picture ourselves enjoying the alps in sunshine and we do have our share of sunny days in Australia. However, alpine weather is unpredictable and a fine sunny day can quickly deteriorate into cold, wet, high wind or blizzard conditions. Your clothing, therefore, must be versatile and you should have ready access to protective clothing during your snow holiday.

Knowing how to drive on winding mountain roads, in snow and ice conditions, is an important skill to acquire. Travelling on alpine roads in winter can be dangerous unless special driving techniques are used. Even where snow has been cleared from the road, the surface may still be covered by a film of snow or ice.
