Self Ligating Braces

Most people are familiar with conventional braces, usually consisting of metal brackets that are cemented onto tooth surfaces for the duration of treatment. These brackets are attached to thin metal wires with elastic bands, that once adjusted, produce gentle forces to move your teeth into the correct positions.
Lingual “Invisible” Braces

Unlike conventional braces, where the brackets and wires are fitted to the outer surfaces of teeth, lingual braces are fitted to the inner surfaces and are virtually invisible. The brackets look similar to conventional brace brackets and are cemented onto lingual tooth surfaces, nearest to the tongue.
Invisalign

Instead of using brackets and wires to move teeth, Invisalign utilises clear BPA-free plastic trays, called aligners. These aligners are custom made to fit tightly over teeth, applying gentle pressure to move teeth into their new positions. Invisalign is extremely popular because the aligners are nearly invisible once in the mouth, so are ideal for adults and self-conscious older teens.
