About Us
Report
At The Northside Veterinary Centre, we believe in a team based approach for the care of your pets. Libby and Winston have worked together in Canberra for over 18 years, and our team of 9 vets have over 90 years combined experience. All medical and surgical cases are discussed by the vets each day, so every patient gets the benefit of at least five minds, not just one!
Emergency
Report
For Emergencies during opening hours, please phone our reception on (02) 6182 0111. We will always prioritise your pet in severe emergencies (e.g. car accident, snake bite, seizures), but a phone call before arriving will allow us to prepare for your arrival. If your pet has been bitten by a snake, please make your way to the nearest open veterinary clinic.
New Clients
Report
Please help us create an accurate computer record for you and your pet by completing the questionnaire below. Completing this online also saves time when you first visit us. Where was your pet last seen so we can have the history emailed directly to our clinic to assist your pet to the best of our ability.
Puppy Class
Report
Puppy socialisation classes are an important part of any puppy's development into a well adjusted canine citizen! Puppy classes at Northside Veterinary Centre aim to facilitate your puppy's transition into a confident, well adjusted puppy. From 8-14 weeks of age, puppies go through what we call their "critical socialisation period", which is a key developmental stage in which they are most receptive to learning and accepting new experiences.
Faq
Report
We recommend seeing your pet at least yearly for a health check and vaccination review. During this appointment, your pet will receive a thorough physical examination to check for any problems. Your vet will discuss your pet's diet, activity and any concerns you have. Together you and your vet will discuss if any vaccinations are due, discuss any recommended parasite prevention products, and any health concerns found during the examination.
