Josie is a Registered Conveyancer and the owner and director of Metro Conveyancing. Prior to the opening of Metro Conveyancing, Josie started and managed the Conveyancing Department at Mellor Olsson Lawyers, building the department from scratch and developing Mellor Olsson's standing in the property law sector.

She joined Mellor Olsson from Lempriere Abbott McLeod, where she worked from 1997 to 2015. It was there that she developed her knowledge and experience in mortgage work, taking on more responsibility to lead a team of up to 10 staff, growing the department and maintaining a strong base of referrers.

Conveyancing Services
Report
A person purchasing real property must ensure that he or she obtains a good and marketable 'title' to the land; i.e., that the person selling is the legal owner, has the right to sell the property, and there is no factor which would impede a mortgage or re-sale. Conveyancing is a complex series of tasks that requires specialised knowledge and skill.
Commercial Property Settlements
Report
Purchasing commercial property is serious business. Just as you would seek the advice of your accountant or lawyer before signing a contract, it is critical to obtain the correct advice from a conveyancer when purchasing a commercial property. At Metro Conveyancing, we take great care to pay attention to the details of your settlement and advise you accordingly.
Private Contracts
Report
It may be simple to negotiate a contract privately, but it is important to have an experienced professional conveyancer to collate all of the information and conditions from the negotiations into a formal agreement that protects each party's interests.

At Metro Conveyancing, we understand time is of the essence in these situations and we waste no time ensuring that documentation is prepared in a straightforward and timely manner, such that all parties can achieve the scheduled settlement date.
Family Transfers & Change of Name
Report
Metro Conveyancing understands that circumstances change all the time, whether due to a relationship breakdown, changing family commitments, or a death in the family. At some point in time, you may be required to make changes to the ownership of your property.

This can range from changing a property from joint to single ownership, to transferring the property completely from one owner to another member of family, to reassigning property from a Deceased Estate. When these life changes occur, you will want to ensure you receive proper advice as there are a number of legal and taxation issues which will need to be accounted for.
Business Settlements
Report
Purchasing or selling a business can be an exciting time as you embark on a new phase in life - but it can also be a complex process which requires a considerable amount of paperwork and due diligence. Whether you are purchasing or selling a business privately or through a Business Agent, Metro Conveyancing can assist you with each step along the way, preparing the documentation you require for a successful transaction.
