Why Choose Us
Report
Lens quality is essential for vision clarity and comfort. Japanese lens technology is superior, especially in the multifocal ranges and scratch-resistant coatings. Not all frames are the same. That is why we are selective in the frames that we carry, giving particular attention to the quality of the materials and hinges to ensure that your glasses last the distance.

If your lenses have not felt comfortable or you are looking to try them as a break from glasses, talk to us about the options. Retinal photography is the ability to take a digital image of the back of the eye through the opening of the pupil. The latest research is indicating an alarming incidence of myopia (short-sightedness) as children spend more time on near tasks/digital devices.
Digital eye strain
Report
Australians love digital media and we devote half of our waking hours interacting with digital media channels across multiple devices^. We recommend innovative lenses specifically designed for digital media use to help relax and protect your eyes and keep them feeling fresh throughout the day. Digital Eye Strain is the physical eye discomfort felt by many individuals after two or more hours in front of a digital screen.
UV and sun protection
Report
The front part of your eye (the cornea and the lens) absorbs most UV-B rays, but these rays may cause even more damage to your eyes than UV-A rays. UV rays may lead to macular degeneration, a leading cause of vision loss for older Americans. UV rays, especially UV-B rays, may also cause some kinds of cataracts.
Oct
Report
We are very excited to announce that at Village Optics we will now be offering the incredible OCT scans. If you have never heard of OCT - think of it like taking a high resolution 3D CT scan through the individual cell layers of the retina (back wall of the eye) or the front of the eye structures. Before OCT technology we could only guess how various disease processes or age-related changes affected the eye.
