In accordance with the new restrictions introduced by the NSW government we are restricting our services to urgent eye care only. During these hours there will be an Optometrist and Optical Dispenser available for urgent eye care. There will also be someone available by phone and email to answer questions, take contact lens orders, schedule appointments and organise spectacle pickups, etc.
Contact lens patients can order their contacts by phone and we can have your contacts delivered to your home if you require. If you have glasses or contacts ready for pick up, please call us to arrange a time for pickup at the practice. As always, we are here for you. Your eye health is our priority. With each eye examination our Optometrists includes an eye pressure check in conjunction with the standard testing procedures. Tests are non-evasive, quick to complete and bulk billed through Medicare. Retinal photographs are an optional extra and assist in detecting eye conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and retinal occlusions.
Over the years we have had many clients suffering from Dry Eye Syndrome. Sufferers complain of discomfort with dryness, itching and for some, a feeling of grittiness or that there's something foreign in their eye. In fact, almost 20% of you may find that you have these symptoms.
Our modern lifestyle - involving working on computer screens, pollution, air travel, wearing contact lenses, artificial lighting and air conditioning - is increasingly making Dry Eye Syndrome more prevalent.Basically what is occurring with Dry Eye conditions is that there are insufficient tears being formed or there is excessive evaporation of moisture in the eye's lacrimal layer.

I purchased a pair of glasses a few months ago and today I popped in as the thread had become loose. The glasses became difficult to tighten. The lovely lady (I think Susan) who served me, has also served me a few times before. She struggled to repair my glasses as it may occur again. She gave me a new frame, exactly the same. She put my old lenses in a brand new frame. I was so pleased with the service and her patience. Such a genuine and lovely person. Customer service of this quality is very rare to find these days unfortunately.

The Spectacle Place helped me with my first ever pair of multi-focal lenses. I love them so much (both the Spectacle Place and the glasses)! Plus, the staff have great taste, and offered some really good advice when I was choosing the frames. The Spectacle Place is definitely the place to go when you need to update your eyewear.

Friendly and great range of frames. I’d usually have to go to the city to find the kind of frames there. I bought my latest pair of glasses here on December 31st. Even on the last day of the year they fit me in for an eye test so I could claim my health fund benefit. The optometrist was nice and very thorough. He explained my eye condition in a way I actually understood.

I have been going to Stephen for almost 2 decades, very honest, humble , straightforward and caring , his prices are very reasonable. He never asked me commercial questions aiming at increasing the price like all other optometrists I tried who have a long list of questions " do you want minimum distortion? do you want budget specs? do you want the top of the range ?"" etc.... I hated that. Of course I want the best of all .He never did that , really impresses me, I always got the very best for a very fair price. Thank you Stephen.
