Our medical centre is safe to visit and we are open for Telehealth (phone or video) and face to face appointments. We have strict hygiene and social distancing measures in place to protect you and your family. If you are unwell or suffering from respiratory like illness, you must not enter our clinic. Dr Mark Jeffery has a MBBCH FRACGP Diploma in Anaesthetics/General Practitioner with General and Specialist Registration and is dedicated to providing you and your family with professional quality of healthcare across a wide range of medical and support services. Mark also provides shared antenatal care with Gold Coast Hospital.
Chronic Disease Management

Diabetes is a chronic condition in which the levels of glucose (sugar) in the blood are too high. Blood glucose levels are normally regulated by the hormone insulin, which is made by the pancreas. In people with diabetes, the pancreas doesn't produce enough insulin or there is a problem with how the body's cells respond to it.
Vaccinations

The QLD Immunisation Schedule outlines the routine vaccinations recommended and funded for Queensland residents. School Immunisation Program - if this is missed during the school program we can administer the necessary vaccination in our clinic. An updated pneumococcal vaccine is now available to help protect babies and children against serious pneumococcal disease (such as meningitis, septicaemia and pneumonia).
Medical Assessments

GP's play a key role in the management of workplace injuries and assisting your return to work. If you are visiting our practice under Workers Compensation, the account will be directly forwarded to QLD Workcover. If you are visiting for another state (make sure you have your claim number handy) the account will be directly forwarded to your Workcover case manager.
Maternity & Child Health
Report
DTPa (boostrix) - free for new patients or those in direct contact with baby under 6 months. Can have whilst pregnant. Private patients Dr will give a script for vaccine to purchase from a pharmacy. Certain diseases such as pneumococcal meningitis can result in long-term disability or death and it is important to protect your children against this.
