Specialising in antique jewellery restoration using laser technology and traditional techniques. Our expert jewellers handle delicate repairs for rings, pearls, enamel pieces, and heritage items. We document each repair process with photographs and maintain strict security protocols throughout the 3-10 day turnaround period.
Custom Design
Creating unique heirloom-quality pieces through CAD design and artisan craftsmanship. Clients collaborate directly with designers to transform sentimental jewellery or conceptual ideas into reality. The 8+ week process includes diamond DNA mapping and uses recycled Australian gold with ethically sourced gemstones.
Valuations
NCJV-registered valuations for insurance, estate division, and probate purposes. Conducted onsite by director Liz Stevens with 2-week turnaround. Includes formal certificates for items over $2,000, with specialist assessment of diamonds, gemstones, and precious metals using industry-standard grading.
Engraving
Offering machine and hand engraving services with heritage techniques. Our master engraver uses century-old tools for intricate heraldic designs and family crests. Projects take 2-3 days for machine work or up to 3 weeks for hand-crafted ecclesiastical pieces and custom patterns.
Lapidary Service

Questions
Do you offer international shipping?
Yes, we ship to New Zealand, UK, Singapore, US and Canada with $75 flat rate and tracking. Import duties may apply depending on destination country.
Can I exchange purchased items?
Standard items may be exchanged until end of February; custom and bespoke pieces cannot be exchanged. Wedding hairpieces excluded from exchange policy.
Are your diamonds ethically sourced?
All new diamonds are GIA certified and comply with UN ethical mining guidelines. We prioritise Australian bullion and direct-chain gemstone sourcing from small family mines.
Do you buy second-hand jewellery?
Yes, we're licensed second-hand dealers purchasing gold, silver, diamonds and vintage pieces. We pay cash or direct debit with confidential valuations from our gemmologist team.
What warranty do you offer?
New pieces have manufacturing defect warranties. Antique jewellery sold 'as is' with condition disclosed; we recommend insurance for ongoing protection of vintage items.
Can I see items in person?
Our Miranda showroom displays the full collection. Virtual appointments via Zoom/WhatsApp available Australia-wide with no obligation consultations for all services.

We can't thank Chilton's and Liz enough. We had to get a ring remade and they were very knowledgeable, helpful and patient. The ring came out phenomenally and is so beautiful. Even when things outside of their control (covid) delayed the process, Liz went out of her way to get it to us in a timely manner. We also got our wedding bands there and im sure we will be back in the future for more. Highly recommend!

My fianc and I have been to Chilton's a couple weeks in a row now, they've handled the COVID situation extremely well and professionally. One day I forgot my mask and they gave me one, they have check in's and hand sanitiser at the front door. All the staff interactions are behind perspex, while still being helpful and interactive. We have begun designing her engagement and wedding ring's, Liz has been extremely helpful - we appreciate all of her experience and expertise. She has been quick to listen and work with alongside us which has been very nice. We look forward to seeing the finished product

My husband and I wanted to thank your team for all your help in choosing firstly my engagement ring and then our wedding rings to compliment on our wedding day. We looked together for the engagement ring and knew we wanted something vintage/antique and unique. Out of all the antique shops we looked at in Sydney your store had the biggest range and the most beautiful pieces. I loved coming back just to see what newest additions you had to your collections and the stories they told which you sourced from all over the world. I received the necklace that I bought for my wife today, I only ordered it a few days ago! The necklace is beautiful and my wife loves it. I was going to hide it until Christmas but she was so excited to see it. Now she just wants to wear it. It arrived beautifully wrapped and packaged. I would not hesitate buying from Chiltons antiques again, and I probably will.
