Finally Pimpama and Coomera has its own small animal vet. Dr Gavin Purdon, the primary vet at our clinic, completed his Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 1998, and has dedicated nearly all of the time since to small animal care. He has worked on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane for the last 7 years and has 2 large rescue dogs and much smaller cat at home.

Paralysis ticks are one of the greatest hardships for pets living in South-East Queensland during the time of July - January, where the warm and humid weather favour the development of tick numbers. Although ticks are present all year it is during these months where ticks are most prevalent and can cause harm to our wonderful furry friends.
