Kimberley Rikard-Bell
Report
Kimberley grew up on a farm in Milvale (near Young) NSW surrounded by animals. She has stayed surrounded by animals ever since. She graduated from Vet Science with 1st class honours at Sydney University. In her final year of vet school she adopted a mixed breed dog called Woody (pictured) in the "Last Chance Club" at RSPCA Yagoona, who was a loyal friend for over 10 years.
Lauren Slater
Report
Lauren, who grew up in Cairns, has always obsessed with animals. However it was the story of a local vet saving a trio of lion cubs (and temporarily ending up with them in the backyard) that cemented her desire to be a vet. She moved to Townsville QLD to obtain her Bachelor of Veterinary Science from James Cook University and made the most of her placements around Australia and New Zealand in small animal, mixed, and exotic practices.
Our nursing and reception team
Report
Perri, our office manager, has been a Veterinary Nurse since 2007 and is the only qualified stem cell technician in this part of the state. She is the hub around which the vets, patients, clients and other staff at the clinic revolve around. She is our chief organiser and somehow remembers every person, dog, cat and rat that comes in through the doors.
Pet Library
Report
Canobolas Family Pet Hospital provides you with a full library of pet medical information from the Veterinary Information Network. VIN is the world's first and largest online veterinary community, where new articles are added weekly by the experts at VIN to make sure that our readers have the most current veterinary information available.
Rabbits as pets
Report
Rabbits can make fantastic pets. Sometimes rabbits may be viewed as easy, low maintenance pets but this is not the case. Like all pets, rabbits require special care. Before acquiring a rabbit, it's essential you know what's needed to ensure your rabbit remians happy and healthy. A hutch should serve as a temporary enclosure only.
