Founded in 2004 by Kirsten Burt, Pure Funk Dance has evolved into a vibrant dance community that nurtures creativity, connection, and excellence. Under the co-direction of Kirsten and Edmund Chau, we combine over two decades of experience in dance education, performance, and choreography to deliver programs tailored to diverse skill levels and styles. Our mission extends beyond technical trainingwe cultivate a supportive family environment where dancers of all ages develop confidence, artistry, and lifelong friendships. With a focus on innovation, we offer school programs, workshops, competitions, and community initiatives that reflect our commitment to advancing dance culture. Our team of internationally experienced choreographers and performers brings global perspectives to local talent development.

Safety remains paramount, evidenced by our Child Safe Environment Policy and rigorous staff clearances. From Hip Hop to Vogue, our curriculum celebrates diversity in movement and expression. We also provide specialized services such as wedding choreography, hens parties, and private tuition to meet unique client needs. As active contributors to the arts sector, we partner with schools and organizations to promote dance as both an educational tool and cultural asset. Our state-of-the-art Hindmarsh studio features professional-grade facilities designed to enhance learning and creativity.
