Bellarine Veterinary Practice has been providing quality care for life to Geelong and the Bellarine for over 35 years. In that time our practice has grown to six veterinarian clinics, and the range of vet services we provide has expanded. Our team of dedicated veterinarians, vet nurses, pet groomers and other support staff are able to provide everything from dog training advice and dog grooming to complex medical and surgical investigations.
After Hours Emergencies

If your pet is injured or requires emergency care during business hours, contact your nearest Bellarine Veterinary Practice clinic. However, should emergency attention be needed after hours, contact the Animal Emergency Centre, Geelong's after-hours veterinary emergency centre. The specially designed vet hospital has a 24-hour vet available on weekends, and veterinarians available from 6pm until 9am during the week.

Geelong's Bellarine Veterinary Practice began freezing canine semen and performing inseminations 30 years ago. In that time, our practice has become a front runner in canine artificial insemination, able to co-ordinate breeding locally, nationally and internationally. Our experts collect and freeze dog semen and can ship it wherever required.

At the Bellarine Veterinary Practice, our first approach is to book a consultation with one of our vets to check that there are no underlying medical conditions that could be causing, or contributing to your dog's behavioural problems.

I have been going to Bellarine vets for years, mostly Newcomb. I have a preferred Vet, Dr Silke, who my pup warms to even when being poked & prodded. I have a sick pup and spend a lot of time here. I find the prices reasonable and the vets are willing to work through priorities when you can't afford everything. Appts are easy enough to get. They work late on weeknights and also open Saturdays. Couldn't ask for more.

Taking our family fur kids here for a couple of decades, more including immediately family pets. We trust in their care & services. Lovingly cared for our whippets for 16 plus years. Lovely experience with all staff. In the past they have taken amazing care of my beautiful husky who unfortunately had to lose her hind leg. They absolutely loved seeing Mia come in and gave her all the love she could ever need.

Expert advice and treatment. Very caring and always trying to keep costs down. Performed a complete knee restruction in both my dogs back legs and he is running around better than new. Been attending the practice since it first opened around 30 years ago for all my dogs. John and Ewan always brilliant. Staff lovely and long term showing it to be a good place to work. Highly recommend.

Absolutely wonderful team of young women. I couldn't be more thankful for the way that they looked after my beautiful Rory. It was a very scary time for me, watching my cat go through what he did, but the girls put my mind at ease. They were so kind, gentle and thorough with him and were very understanding and kind with me too. The outcome was as good as it could possibly be for his surgery, and there really aren't words to describe how appreciative I am. All of this amazing work and care came at a very low cost. Also something that I am grateful for as it is normally a very costly procedure at

Some of the receptionists can be rude over the phone, not very informative and expect you to know everything.
The vets on the other hand are so lovely and I feel comfortable having my fur babies in their hands. So helpful with any questions, and knowledgeable. They show a deep interest in your pet rather then an in and out consultation.
