About Us
Report
Karrinyup Small Animal Hospital was created in 1982 as a dream by Dr Darron Baynham. He saw the need in the market for making excellent healthcare for pets accessible to all clients. Throughout the last 30 years the Karrinyup Small Animal Hospital has undergone many changes. One thing that has always remained is our focus to provide great service and care at affordable prices.
Our Staff
Report
Dr Cindy is a 2001 Murdoch University graduate who has an interesting range of experience leading up to taking ownership of KSAH. In her early years, she had worked at animal shelters and done locum work for various Perth practices before establishing her roots at KSAH for 7+ years. She then ventured into human stroke research and successfully published a study on emergency stroke treatment in a scientific journal.
Desexing Surgeries
Report
At KSAH, it is vital that every patient receives adequate pain relief for any painful procedure being performed. Your pet will receive potent pain relief and anti-inflammatory medications to ensure a comfortable recovery. Here are the difference in desexing surgeries between dog/cats and sex. For a male cat, fur is removed from the scrotal area and the area is gently scrubbed with an antiseptic solution.
Pre-Anaesthetic Blood Test
Report
Before your pet undergoes a general anaesthetic, we recommend that they have their blood collected for a blood test profile. The parameters of the profile is case-dependent, as we select the appropriate tests to suit each particular health situation. Some health conditions are not immediately apparent in the early stages of disease.
Prevention Plans
Report
We offer prevention plans for every stage of your pets life. We understand that veterinary fees can be expensive, so we have developed a range of plans to suit your pet's needs. These plans offer great value for you, the pet owner. Each plan focuses on areas of prevention such as vaccinatable diseases, protection against heartworm, wormers and fleas, dental disease and more.
