Because pets age so rapidly, major health changes can occur in a short amount of time. The risk of cancer, diabetes, obesity, arthritis, heart disease and other serious conditions all increase with age. Today's pets are living longer than ever, chances are that many may experience a potentially serious illness during their lifetime.
Vaccination has revolutionised control of infectious disease in our pets. It is essential that all pets are adequately vaccinated to help protect the pet population as a whole. Responsible pet care requires kittens to be given their initial course of vaccinations, but this cannot protect them for the rest of their lives.
There are two broad categories of worms that may affect our pet dogs and cats, intestinal worms and heartworms. Worming is one of the first health care issues pet owners need to address as pups and kittens are the most susceptible. As their name suggests, intestinal worms are parasites that live inside your pet's intestines.

A few weeks ago, we found a terrified baby lorikeet on the parade and brought it here. Thankfully it was taken care of right away. We had our contact details left hoping to know what would happen to it eventually, however, there was never a call or a message. I understand people are not paid for such work but we really like to know for sure that it has been sent to somewhere safe and sound. Even after we come back to visit a week later, we still got a "we have no such record" reply.
Well I guess sometimes you just cant ask for that much.

My experience here was fantastic. After taking my chihuahua to the emergency vet and then needing a follow up 5 days later with a vet I gave them a call. My 7 yr old chihuahua Marley can become very anxious but after not even a minute the vet had calmed him without having to put more stress of muzzling him. They have done a fabulous job, over the 2 weeks. From the 2 veterinary doctors to the receptionists they are outstanding. Highly recommend

During a stint of home isolation due to return travel from interstate, my pooch developed an upset stomach and was quite unwell.
I phoned Parade Vets and spoke with Jodie to explain the situation as I wasn’t myself able to take him to see a vet and her advice was nothing short of outstanding.
The explanation of the process to have him see a vet if it was to worsen although I am in isolation was comforting and also the advice of a diet change to see him through the tummy ache was fantastic.
I have been going to Parade Vets for many years and I strongly recommend them for any fanatical pet lover

After 17 years, our beautiful grandpa cat needed special care and this clinic, at a whim's notice, delivered respectful, sensitive care when we needed it. They didn't rush me, they allowed me to sit with him, cuddle him and explained the procedure fully. They stayed open when they would normally close because Ace needed it. They organised for Ace to be returned to me with dignity, before Christmas and were gentle and forgiving when I was a hot mess in tears. We have since organised the care of our other cat, Ollie to be moved across to this clinic. Pic is of Ace, freshly groomed before he got sick

Have had to frequent this team of vets and vet nurses a great deal over the past 6 months, due to an often unwell dog called Ronnie. Have been so pleased and impressed with their professionalism, warmth, knowledge and kindness. A wonderful group of skilled and humane people who are expert in their chosen field ready to go the extra yards for your pet and yourself.
Grateful thanks from both of us.

Dr Ash was extremely kind and honest about my dog's health and his concerns that there was an underlying problem. He suggested the emergency vet would have the best resources for my dog at that time, and he was right. My dog was critically ill and needed specialist care. Cannot thank the team enough!
