The Tallangatta and Kiewa Veterinary Clinics are a long established business in the region, with changing and familiar faces throughout. Joe and Meika Skuse bought the business in 2016 from Andrew and Jane Jemmeson who were handing over the reigns after 25 years of service to the area. Joe and Meika, along with Verity, Lauren, Jack and the nursing staff are keen to continue to service the area with the highest level of care and dedication.
Tallangatta and Kiewa Vets has been an integral part of our local community for years. In that time, we've helped thousands of our client's cats & dogs, rabbits & guinea pigs, birds, horses, sheep and cows. Being so strongly integrated with our local community is important to us and our clients.

Dentistry
Report
Dentistry is a rapidly growing area of veterinary science. We have seen a greater awareness over the last 25 years of its importance to the overall health of the animals we treat. Just like humans, pets' teeth need looking after too! The health of their teeth and gums has a significant impact on their overall quality of life.
Health Checks
Report
Because pets age so rapidly, major health changes can occur in a short amount of time. The risk of cancer, diabetes, obesity, arthritis, heart disease and other serious conditions all increase with age. Today's pets are living longer than ever, chances are that many may experience a potentially serious illness during their lifetime.
Caring for older pets
Report
It is easy to forget sometimes that cats and dogs age much more rapidly than us. Because pets age more quickly, serious health problems can occur in a lot shorter time period. Our pets age 5-8 times faster than us. Cats and small dogs for example, that are 15 human years would actually be equivalent to 76 years old for a human and extra large breeds of dogs that reach 12 years old are actually 93 years of age.
Vaccination
Report
Cats, dogs and rabbits all require regular vaccinations to protect them from life threatening illnesses. For dogs we offer a C3 vaccination (against Canine Distemper, Hepatitis and Parvovirus) or a C5 vaccination ( C3 plus Bordatella and Parainfluenza virus- commonly referred to as "Canine Cough" or "Kennel Cough").

The staff at this practice are very kind, helpful and super caring to your pets. For over 20 years they have been caring for my dogs and bird and I highly recommend there services.
They are also reasonable priced compared to other practices around and as long as my pets are happy and cared for what else can you ask for.
They also have after hours care which has been a god send when I have had to use them at 1:00am on a Monday morning. Nothing was to much trouble on this extermely sad occasion.
