Previously the practice had been owned by Dr John Austwick for many years. Dr Tony Hill graduated as a dentist from the University of Bristol, UK in 1988 and worked in the city of Bristol for over 12 years. Following a 10 year friendship with two Hobart dentists, Dr Hill and his wife Teresa immigrated to Hobart in 2001 when he joined the dental practice of Drs Fitzgerald and Gurner.
Dr Hill holds qualifications with the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners (UK). He annually attends a number of postgraduate training lectures and courses in Hobart, interstate and overseas. Karina Clark, our dental hygienist, joined the practice also in 2004.

CEREC is a sophisticated CAD/CAM system for the production of all-ceramic inlays, onlays, partial crowns, veneers and crowns for anterior and posterior teeth. The CEREC procedure was developed at Zurich University and has been successfully deployed in dental practices since 1985 - i.e. for more than 25 years.

Ample parking is available close by, we recommend using the Hobart Central car park accessed via Melville Street where the first hour is free. Meter parking is available directly on the street outside but do take care to avoid the clearway times. Fees for services rendered in our office are based on our skill, judgment, experience and expertise. Our office chooses to be a private fee for service practice and payment is due when services are rendered.
