Services
Your veterinarian will feel your pet's musculoskeletal system, abdomen, and head and neck areas for abnormalities. A stethoscope will be used to listen to your pet's heart and lungs. We are open 7 days a week with a vet on call 24 hours a day to help you avoid emergency centers. Progressive vet care can take care of all your pet's deworming treatments, to safeguard your pet's health.

Please ensure your pet is reasonably clean and dry on the day of surgery to reduce the risk of infection. Remembering that your pet may not be washed for up to 3 weeks after their operation So, if you want to wash them before surgery just make sure they have at least 24 hours to dry.
If your animal is less than 4 kilograms, diabetic or is on long term medications then you should consult a veterinarian to obtain specific instructions regarding fasting and/or medication administration.Exotic patients, such as rabbits and guinea pigs should NOT be fasted. Please bring your pet into the hospital between 8:30 am and 9:30 am on the morning of the procedure.

At progressive vet care we offer short term cat boarding, in a secure and safe environment. The environment is draught free completely indoors, shielded from outdoor elements and temperature controlled. While your cat boards with us they are fed Royal Canin which is a premium highly palatable food, but if your Cat has a preferred food you are more than welcome to bring that along.

Caring and professional. My very nervous reluctant dog relaxed and took to Dr Elita immediately and followed her in. Gave detailed information and didn't rush us and answered all our concerns and questions. Couldn't have asked for a better vet. Convenient location with quite a number of spots for patient parking right out front.

He is very knowledgeable, discusses optional treatments and, very importantly, allows you to make an informed decision. Particularly in the field of diagnostics - he listens closely to your concerns and goes above and beyond to try and determine what is making your pet unwell. His staff are reliable and excellent at replying to your concerns or queries.

Have been to this clinic for a few times but feel like I had to leave a review this particular visit with Dr. Katrina. Dr. Katrina built great rapport with my dog and completed a thorough check up. She is also a very good listener and is attentive to details. She treasues client's opinion and will work with you to treat your pet. I could not have speak highly of her. Thank you Dr. Katrina!

My beautiful little girl Molly anne Burberry got really sick and she was raced to the vet by the owner of the boarding kennels where she was staying while I was having my monthly 2 weeks stint in the Alfred hospital, Dr Tim and staff we're so kind and caring for Molly and myself.
Words cannot express how grateful I am for the loving caring and professional work that they do there, they saved not only Molly's Life but mine!!
Nurse Hannah and her Dog Thor donated blood to Molly and his blood has saved my baby's life.

We attended here for an appointment with our 9 week old puppy. Whilst in the waiting room, our pup was in an unprovoked attack by another dog. Whilst this isn’t the business fault- at no point were we offered an apology by the dog’s owner or by any staff. It was a highly distressing and traumatic time for us and for our new puppy. I would have expected at some point, someone would have checked in on the following days to see how we were after that experience. I had to call to ask what the follow up would be and was told to just take it to the council. What was then extended into a 2 hour consultation

I personally had an amazing experience with this vet. I found that Doctor Tim and the staff are extremely friendly and actually care about the animals that come in. I've never had a bad experience here and the staff have always told us the right things and helped our dog come back to her normal self. Much appreciated, would definitely recommend to many :)

We recently changed over to Progressive Vet Care as our dog Summer developed cancer. I wasn't happy with the advice and lack of information given to us from our previous vet. We came under Dr Colette's care who guided and supported us through the palliative care of Summer. She died alot quicker than anticipated but we were surrounded in kindness from the clinic, especially in making decisions for what was best for our girl. Thanks so much Colette, it was such a difficult time made a little bit easier by what you did for our family.

I will never, ever go to another vet. Dr Tim, Dr Mark & Jackie gave my near 12 year old rabbit, Boots, extra time for me to say goodbye. His death was tragic and the way they handled this horrific time has helped me make some peace with his passing. I know 99% of other vets wouldn't have tried in this situation and i'll be forever grateful they did. There was no judgement and their sense of urgency and compassion will never be forgotten.

I’ve been seeing Dr Tim for a few years now. I moved out to Coldstream about 9 months ago and I STILL drive the hour to see him. I couldn’t see anyone else unless I had to. He is fantastic! So caring, compassionate, understanding, supportive and never talks down to me. I appreciate how thorough he always is and always explains the ins and outs of… things without making me feel confused. He is always happy to give me advice and is very understanding about how overly pedantic I am with my fur babies. Never has he made me feel judged. I HIGHLY recommend Progressive vet care to anyone

Visited tonight for our puppy's first vet check (free!) and was greeted by the lovely Jackie. Right away we were made to feel welcome and she gave our puppy lots of cuddles which he loved. Dr Tim was fantastic! Very easy to talk to and thorough in his examination. We didn't feel rushed or pushed into anything. Walked away feeling really informed and so pleased to have found our vet. We will definitely be back!
