About Us
Report
When Milos Supljeglav and Ross Dunlop founded the firm in 2004, they understood that people need family lawyers who are supportive, practical and dedicated to their clients. Our lawyers work exclusively in Family and De Facto Relationship Law. We are not general lawyers who just "dabble" in the area.
Appointments
Report
Appointments can be made on a "face-to-face" basis at one of our offices or, alternatively, via telephone or Skype. We understand that many clients do not live within an easy drive of Perth or one of our urban hubs, or simply that juggling the demands of work and family can be onerous. Generally, one of our experienced solicitors can accommodate an appointment - whether by Skype, telephone or in-person - within a day or so of your enquiry.
Divorce
Report
If you want to get divorced, you will need to file an Application for Divorce in the relevant Court. You can make this Application individually, or jointly with your former spouse. Divorce is the legal end to a marriage. It is important to remember that "getting a Divorce" is not the same as property settlement.
Property Settlement
Report
Despite your best efforts, you may not be able to agree on a property settlement with your former spouse. In these circumstances, you may need to ask the Courts for help. The Courts have the power under the Family Law Act 1975 (Cth) to make orders dividing property between spouses who have separated.
Financial Agreements
Report
Financial Agreements (also known as Pre-nuptial, Cohabitation and/or Separation Agreements) can be made before, during or after a marriage or de facto relationship, and can deal with how property will be divided, the splitting of superannuation (except for de facto couples in Western Australia), and spousal maintenance upon separation.
