Physiotherapy

A Physiotherapist plays a vital role in healing, pain relief and rehabilitation following fractures, surgery, muscle, tendon, ligament and joint injuries. Treatment aims to correct and stimulate the body's own natural healing processes. In addition to being able to provide general musculoskeletal physiotherapy services, our physiotherapists are also highly trained and skilled in the assessment and management of shoulder and upper limb conditions.
Hospital Inpatient Services

You may be seen by an Extend therapist as part of your inpatient care following an injury or surgery. Hospital inpatient therapy will usually be arranged by your treating specialist or surgeon as necessary. If you have private health insurance, and your insurer is contracted to the hospital, we may be able to bill the cost of our inpatient treatment directly to the hospital.
Surgeon Co-Appointments

Our hand therapists and physiotherapists also see patients in consultation with the hand and upper limb surgeons in the Brisbane Hand and Upper Limb Clinic (Brisbane Private Hospital Specialist Centre) and at Queensland Combined Orthopaedic Specialists (The Wesley Hospital). Your treating surgeon will usually arrange this.
