Gambier Vets cater for all types of horses, from children's ponies and hacks, to racers, pacers, studs and performance horses. We have experienced horse vets on staff, including Dr Stuart Skirving who is registered with the Australian Stud Book for all your horse microchipping and DNA needs.

We also have an extensive range of diagnostic equipment, including ultrasounds, endoscopes and digital x-ray facilities, so you and your horse can get results fast.We also offer Hendra virus vaccines for horses. At the clinic we have equine surgical facilities, large undercover examination areas, on-site parking for horse trucks and floats, and secure yards so you can leave your horse with us for the day to save you time and travelling.

At Gambier Vets, we provide a comprehensive livestock service for the South East and Western Border Districts. Our dedicated vets offer an experienced consultancy service for all your livestock needs, including routine herd health visits, trace element assessment, disease surveillance programmes (including Johne's disease and Pestivirus) and ultrasound pregnancy testing.

Whether you're taking your dog on a tour of Europe or sending your dairy heifers to China, we have fully qualified vets to help you every step of the way. Our veterinarian team is experienced and fully qualified in providing supportive assistance for pets travelling overseas.

They will be able to help you with all your pet's necessary documentation, tests, vaccinations (including rabies) and travel arrangements and help pets travel safely to destinations such as England, Wales, Hong Kong, New Zealand and America.We are also accredited by the Australian Cattle Veterinarians (ACV) for pre-export pregnancy testing.

We offer assisted insemination, as well as fresh, chilled or frozen semen surgical insemination for all dog breeds. Gambier Vets is accredited by Greyhounds Australasia as an approved facility for storage and insemination of canine semen. Gambier Vets have an in-house progesterone machine that allows us to accurately monitor and gain a better understanding of each dog's oestrus cycle.
