Fillings are placed to restore decayed teeth using tooth-coloured composite resin materials which are suitable for back and front teeth. At Bentleigh family dental, teeth whitening involves having custom-made trays made to hold the bleach in position against the teeth. The process usually takes 2 weeks and involves wearing the trays for a few hours every night for best results.

It is advisable to bring them in at an early age to get familiar with the dental environment. We recommened children start attending at around 2 years of age unless you have any concerns prior to this. Floss your teeth daily. Flossing will maintain healthy gums and helps to clean between teeth where brushing cannot clean. Wear a custom fitted mouthguard to protect your teeth from injury when playing contact sports. Avoid using your teeth for anything other than chewing food. If you use them to crack nuts, remove bottle tops or rip open packaging, you risk chipping or even breaking your teeth.
