Losing a tooth can cause problems for your remaining teeth that lack support and can shift over time. Because your teeth are no longer properly aligned, you make a small problem a BIG (and much more expensive) problem by ignoring it.
Bone Grafting

You have been told that there is just not enough bone to place an adequate implant in your mouth. Whatever the reason, the implant must be placed in bone of adequate width, height and quality for long lasting hassle free restoration. The required Implant dimensions will be determined by your implantologist and must satisfy several criteria, so just using a smaller implant is not an option.
Orthodontic Treatment

Dr Maria Avis offers a number of popular ways orthodontic treatment can be performed. For example Invisalign can be an excellent alternative to conventional braces for some patients. It is a system of clear removable aligners that is virtually invisible. Not all cases can be treated with Invisalign though.
Root Canal Therapy

Not at all. You will feel absolutely nothing while the treatment is being performed: we ensure that local anaesthetic is administered correctly and has taken full effect before we start the treatment. If you are super anxious you may choose to be sedated for the procedure. However later on when the local anaesthetic wears off you may experience some minor discomfort, for example tenderness when chewing for a couple of days.
Dental Crowns

This is the most common question I get asked. Especially since fillings are relatively inexpensive and quick, as opposed to dental crowns that are costly and require multiple visits. Fillings rely on the existing tooth structure to stay in. There is a limit as to how big a filling can be put in a tooth.
