Dr. Maria is excellent. She is very friendly, professional, and thorough. I was very pleased with how she explains the procedure and listens to you, and makes sure youre at ease and comfortable.
Lets be honest, no one ever gets excited about dental appointments but Dr. Maria and her friendly stuff have made my visits the best a dental visit can get.

Very unhappy with my experience. Not only was I charged 250 dollars for 15 minutes of work, I was told that I had to come back 3 times for 3 different fillings. The first time I was charged $1 075 and the second time $555. Dr Avis also managed to have one of her instruments slip and take off a layer of skin on my upper lip. I still have a scar that is very noticeable. This is completely unacceptable.
I am very unhappy with her work and I never expected to have a lasting mark on my face from innatentive carelessness from a dentist. The prices are also completely ridiculous. Very unethical and unprofessional

I recently had 4 front crowns done by Dr Maria Avis, they look fantastic, very natural and fair priced. The clinic is impeccably clean, the equipment is high tech, as I understand, Dr Avis is quite particular about her work, (only the best will do) all the staff are very professional and friendly, they made me feel very comfortable. I have being to several Dentists in the past, but none of them come even close to Dr Avis. I am so glad I found Akoya Dental surgery, I 100% recommend. Thank You Dr Avis and Staff.

Having already had a failed dental implant, I was very apprehensive when I first met Dr Maria Avis. So many other dentists had advised it was not possible to have a second successful implant. But by the end of the appointment, Maria had assured me that she had the skills, experience and knowledge and I fully trusted her. After a bone graph and a few other procedures, a year later, I proudly showed off my new smile. There were even a few tears of happiness. The entire experience was worth it. From cleaning ( actually no-one ever cleaned my teeth so well. Maria is the whole next level, when it comes to cleaning. With microscope affixed on the top of her head, be sure you will get the best clean ever and once its all done, it feels amazing! You can never go back to the standard clean again.) . From cleaning to fillings, to implants- Maria does everything with precision, care, reassurance, knowledge, gives advice on various treatment options, she explains the procedure and puts you at ease. I did my braces with Dr. Maria Avis and can't be any happier. She will make sure that everything is perfect and the client is satisfied and happy with the result .
