The step count is climbing so is the temperature. The weather is set to be beautiful for week 3 of the AUHC, and just in time for the semester recess. National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) awards $8.3m to University of Newcastle researchers to investigate global health problems. 1. Masks are mandatory at all times, including while exercising, swimming is the only exemption (children under 12 exempt).

At The Forum University, our eight lane, 50m indoor heated pool is a great option for lap swimming. The state-of-the-art UV filtration system provides water quality beneficial to your eyes and breathing. Public lap swimming is available daily for members and the community. Please check the timetable below for more information about lane availability, community or program bookings and lane closures.

Work with our personal trainers to effectively utilise your time, keep motivated and stay on track. We have our very own Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) to provide nutritional assessments for a range of individual needs. Offering over 60 classes at University and a variety of appealing and accessible programs everyday.

An optimistic mindset will improve your overall physiology, for example smiling over frowning triggers different signals to the brain that we are doing ok and keeps us calm and productive vs in a state of fight or flight where stress and anxiety creeps in.
