Hi - I'm Paula Whitelaw (Nebauer), and I'm a qualified Remedial Massage and Bowen Therapist in Healesville in the Yarra Valley. I've been massaging for over 30 years. I am passionate about health and seeing people live the best life they can. I use various healing modalities to treat my clients and find it extremely rewarding to help them heal, rejuvenate and achieve optimum health and wellbeing.
My treatment techniques have developed over the years and each treatment varies according to my clients needs. It may include relaxation and remedial massage, shiatsu, Thai massage and Bowen Therapy. I work with all ages, from babies, young children, pregnant women through to elderly people. What is it? Remedial massage is firm in pressure, using thumbs, hands and elbows to stimulate your muscles, increase and improve circulation, release knots and tightness and release endorphins. How does it work? Massage increases circulation which in turns helps boost your immune system and prompts the body to heal itself.
Bowen Therapy

What is it? Bowen Therapy is named after Tom Bowen (1916 -1982) who worked out that the body has its own innate healing mechanism, which can be triggered by small gentle flicking movements over the muscles, tendons, nerves and ligaments. The manipulation helps hydrate the fascia, and causes toxins to be flushed out of the body.
