Over many years, going back to 1987, I have made many, many video camera home movies. Recently, I began to understand that all of these memories and significant personal and family occasions on videotape would be lost due to the natural deterioration of those videotapes.
Upon searching, I found that I couldn't buy a new video player or even obtain a second-hand working video player to watch my home videos.
It was disappointing to learn that my videos contained lots of footage of my children as they grew from babies until adulthood, yet I now cannot share those memories with their children, my grandchildren.
But I then discovered Sudhir at Document Production Australia.

Sudhir was the first person I spoke to about transferring my many videotapes to digital format.
Sudhir also carefully explained the process with clarity and assurance, to the point I felt absolutely confident he understood the importance of my requirements in preserving those most precious family memories.

Consequently, I handed over fifty combined videos, compact videos, and DVDs to Sudhir so he could transfer them onto hard drives. Surprisingly, it was only a matter of a few days when Sudhir called me to say he had my job finished and ready for collection.

I had Sudhir make up a hard drive of our memories for each of my three daughters so that they can now show their own children who their mums were as children.

Imagine my emotions today, listening for the first time in decades to the (now digitised) voices of my parents, who died years ago. They lived overseas, and had sent us a cassette tape to record their joy after learning of our first child's birth in Melbourne in 1981. My cassette player had stopped working.

Then I heard that same child's voice as a two-year old, transferred from another cassette, now digitally preserved for her and all of us.

Similarly, there was the face of my father transferred from a VCR, giving a talk to Rotary in the 1990s.

Sudhir is a master at the fiddly task of finding the right spots on these old tapes (5 in all), creating digital versions that are now on a convenient USB stick.
