Since 2001 Artlandish has proudly been showcasing the finest authentic Australian Aboriginal paintings from leading Indigenous artists. Loving how Kirstie finds brilliant artists and shares not only the artwork, but the back story of both the piece AND the artist. You can tell she absolutely loves Aboriginal art, and she has such great rapport with the artists.

My sister Kirstie is the gallery manager and her husband Jeff takes care of everything else, which is a lot! Then there are the dozens of artists who paint in-house and visit us daily who are our extended family! We'd be lost without the assistance of Jan & Peter during the tourist season in the gallery & Ros is the star who runs our Facebook page & presence on social media including Instagram, YouTube & Pinterest!

Symbolism in Indigenous Art
Report
There is no written language for Australian Aboriginal People so in order to convey their important cultural stories through the generations it is portrayed by symbols/icons through their artwork. It is imperative to pass on information to preserve their culture. These vary from region to region, they are generally understood and form an important part of Australian Indigenous art.
