History of Kung Fu
Report
Although no definite date of the history of Kung Fu is known, most authorities agree that a Chinese warlord by the name of "Chi Yu " developed a wrestling art called "Go- Ti", translated it means "Horn Gore". It consisted of two contestants each wearing ox horns that fought each other on a huge mat using crude wrestling techniques whilst using the ox horns to try to gore each other.
Customs of the School
Report
The traditions and customs of this school are very old and by today's standards many of the martial arts customs seem strange or bewildering to some people, but it is these customs that set us apart from the backyard schools and the new style of martial arts that seem to be appearing everywhere.

The style this school teaches can be traced back through Chinese history well over a thousand years, and although not all of its customs have stood the test of time the ones that are still with us are to be adhered to.When people talk about customs in a martial arts school the first thing that comes to mind is bowing.
Jwun Wei
Report
Unlike other martial arts schools where the Jwun Wei is the schools disciplinarian in the Black Crane Kung Fu Schools, the Jwun Wei's position is one of teaching and guidance. Most students and instructors like the fact that our school and its teachings can be traced back over a thousand years and with this comes customs and traditions that have been passed down from teacher to teacher.
Basic Vocabulary
Report
Even though this school has a long history with many traditions and customs that it still follows avidly, the majority of members will never train outside of Australia. With this in mind we use very limited Chinese vocabulary in our normal training classes, preferring to explain the training and teachings of our system in English so that the students and instructors can fully comprehend their meanings.

It is strictly forbidden to drink alcohol, smoke, chew gum or use bad language in the kwoon or on the premises.
