Austim
Austim was established in 1985 by Peter Rowney. After many years working in the national timber industry, Peter discovered there was a gap in the WA market waiting to be filled. With encouragement and backing from long-term employer and colleague, Denis M. Cullity, Peter commenced operations from the current Landsdale site.

Before long, Peter had established himself as a supplier of quality timber, which was just what Perth craved. Core products in the early years were imported and predominantly used by the building and construction markets. As the business grew, decorative timbers were added. Austim also became known for its range of specialty timbers which were used for furniture and joinery.
