The energy sector is poised to be a real employment driver for the Australian economy, with the 50% renewable energy scenario in 2030 forecasted to create over 28,000 new jobs, nearly 50% more employment in the industry versus a business as usual scenario (Climate Council).
With Australia getting 21% of its total power generation from renewables in 2018, and a $24.5 billion investment into the sector resulting in 13,000 jobs in the short term (Cleaner Energy Council) there is a real need in the Australian market for skilled renewable energy professionals to drive these new developments forward.
