Questions
Which is more cost-effective: blinds or shutters?
Blinds are generally more affordable upfront, while shutters offer longer durability. Material, installation complexity, and maintenance impact long-term value. FKR Group provides options to suit various budgets.
Do shutters keep heat out better than blinds?
Yes, shutters provide superior insulation due to their solid construction, reducing heat transfer. Blinds allow more airflow but can still improve energy efficiency with proper materials and installation.
What are the main differences between shutters and blinds?
Shutters are solid panels offering durability and insulation, while blinds use adjustable slats for light control. Shutters enhance architectural aesthetics, while blinds provide versatile, budget-friendly options for varied window sizes.
Do houses look better with shutters or blinds?
Shutters add classic elegance, suiting traditional homes, while blinds offer modern versatility. FKR Group recommends combining both for cohesive design, depending on architectural style and personal preferences.
What are the most popular colours for shutters and blinds?
White and neutral tones are popular for shutters, while blinds feature whites, greys, and wood stains. Trends vary, but FKR Group offers a wide range to match Brisbane homes’ interior and exterior designs.
Does FKR Group offer on-site consultations?

Our blinds were installed by the FKR team a few months ago and Im very happy to say the whole experience was first class. The owner Frankie showed up on time to prepare a quote, gave us a full run down on the options available, and had a very competitive quote. The blinds we got installed were the Zip Screens, and they are awesome for keeping the western sun off our deck in the afternoon - they also help keep the whole house cooler as the timber deck doesnt heat up and transfer heat inside the house. I cant recommend Frankie and his team highly enough, I just wish all companies treated

What a great company to deal with, from the very start we were impressed with the advice and help that Frankie provided. His quote was provided and the product, installation was exactly as promised. The shutters have added another room to our house as well as value. Wish we had done this years ago. Congratulations to the FKR Group on a first class job. Many thanks Greg and Deb
