Our teaching style is based on the belief that swimming should be a natural and joyful experience! Our teaching is inspired by different techniques and philosophies, among which are the international Halliwick method, Alexander technique, Tai chi, Feldenkrais, Montessori, Aquatic Bodywork, and others.
These methods help us tailor sessions to achieve the desired outcome for every individual. We consider each person's unique learning style and strengths, and help every client find their own easy and enjoyable swimming approach. Lessons are tailored to all ages and any level of experience, whether you're a beginner, a confident swimmer or someone who feels anxious about swimming.

Our Team
Report
Read Anat's story here: "How my parenting journey shaped my approach to work in the water". During 15 years as a leading swimming coach in Israel, and over 20 years of managing her own aquatic centres and boutique swim schools, Anat Juran, owner and founder of Aquanat, developed a few specialised swimming programs for babies, toddlers, children, young adults, adults, and people with swimming challenges.
Babies & Parents
Report
Based on 35 years of experience teaching babies swimming lessons, witnessing hundreds of infants becoming aquatic explorers, our Perth-based instructors are delighted to offer a holistic program that not only teaches great aquatic skills but supports all aspects of a baby's wellbeing and development.
Toddlers & Kids
Report
Some toddlers are ready to move forward to a group without their parents as early as 30 months, while other children benefit from continuing swimming lessons with their parent for a longer period. Our Instructors monitor all aspects of our students' physical and emotional needs to determine what is best for each child, without comparing them to their peers or forcing them to fit into some arbitrary standard.
Adults
Report
Aquanat provides swimming lessons to help people of all abilities and all ages. The sessions are conducted in small, age-compatible groups, or you can choose to have a one-on-one session. We teach you how to notice and work on elements that are important to developing confidence, to maximising productively, and to improving technique.
About the therapies
Report
Aquatic Therapy is at least as effective as physiotherapy, with water treatments presenting many advantages. Our buoyancy in water facilitates reduction of our body's weight, which in turn lessens pressure on our joints, muscles, and skeleton. This allows aquatic therapists to apply a wider range of movements, some of which that are impossible outside of the water, especially post injury.
